Those of you whom have met "M" in my class know that "M" loves drawing and she is amazing at Applied Design, Skills and Technologies. I love seeing how "M's" brain works, and her creative projects always demonstrate the power of design thinking and problem solving. But chilling out and drawing with a cat named "Goose"? That's a new one to me. I asked "M" to tell me more about her beloved, incredibly photogenic, and apparently, talkative cat. Here's what "M" had to say:
Ms. McGowan (Ms. McG) "What do you love about your quirky cat named Goose?"
"M": "She is sweet, she is caring, and she checks in with me whenever I get sad. She also meow's a lot- she is so talkative."
Ms. McG: "Tell me more about these pictures your mom sent in, what is so special about them?"
"M": "Just the fact that Goose was watching me draw and playing with the pencil is super cute."
Ms. McG: "Does Goose watch you draw a lot?"
"M": "Quite often when I am upstairs drawing, she just sits and watches."
Ms. McG: What do you love about art and drawing?
"M": "It just brings me peace and happiness. It is also quite fun to draw."
Ms. McG: "I know that you also build 3D models and puppets will you tell me more about your projects?"
"M": "I am working on a new dragon puppet, called "Bumpkin" it's a pumpkin dragon. It's a hand puppet that I will make out of cardstock. Right now, I am still colouring it. I like pumpkins so I thought it would be fun. In these pictures I am drawing even more dragons. I just love dragons, but it is also funny that we are the "Nukko Lake Dragons."
Ms. McG: I would like Goose to come to school to teach me to draw. Is that ok?
"M": Yes!! It would be fun to watch.
Thanks for sharing these photos with me, your mom is an amazing photographer!! I can't wait for you to showcase your next project with us! Thanks kiddo!
